I’d like to start posting some pictures here. A new camera will do that to you, once you figure out what aperture means. And that it’s always smart to remove the lens cap.

I’m having a little trouble that I’m hoping you can help me with. Oh sage Internets, ye of advice on the more considerable questions about breastfeeding and tantric sex and Kate Gosselin.

I cannot get these puppies to move — right, left, center? No, clicking the center command in Wordpress doesn’t work. I trust you know Mama tried that first, right before she hard coded it, and at last attempted to bend html to her whim with winks and bared breasts. (Neither of which were mine.)
Any ideas?

Did you go into the photo edit thingie in Wordpress? There’s a place there for position: none, left, right center. That’s how I do it.
Nice photos, btw.
As always with your comments, Finn — THANK YOU! I did try that. They still lean left. Like my eyes.
I have no suggestions, but I WOULD like to eat that cake.
Can you select in the edity box (just click on it), and center it like it’s text (yknow, the little button with the centered horizontal lines)?
I DID NOT EAT THAT CAKE. I DID NOT EAT THAT CAKE. And thank you! :)
I don’t have the buttons of which you speak. It was a great thought!
Kris, your styles.css does not have the “aligncenter” section which dictates how to align an image to the center of the screen. The code is all being put on the image tag correctly, but your CSS lacks the appropriate section.
Go to Appearance, Editor, and edit Styles.css. Add this section of code at the bottom:
.aligncenter,
div.aligncenter {
display: block;
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
}
That ought to do the trick. You’re doing it right in the post editor, your theme just didn’t have all the bells.
OMG NATHAN – thank you – will try it! Do I have to do anything for the right/left etc.? Thanks! This made my morning!
Dude. Is that carrot cake? I will marry a bitch for a slice of carrot cake.
do what you do best – stay with tantra and the cakes – there are others to do the coding ;-) lol
Kris — there may or may not be alignleft and alignright code in your styles.css already — you’d have to try it (try aligning one to the right and see if it works. If not, you don’t, and I can give you the code for that, too.)
I like it very much that you will be posting pictures. I’m not on Wordpress but Sarah is and she’s all about the photos so maybe she can help.
No matter how hard I try, I still can’t figure out how to get my photos to sit where I tell them. And I’m still in preschool (aka Blogger.) Either way, these are lovely photos!
I don’t have any bright HTML-type advice, but I can say that the taking the lens cap thing isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be. Especially with friends like mine. “Oh I missed that photo of you doing shots from the bar mat? Hmmm…must have left the lens cap on.”
I can’t get it to work. Nathan! Come back! Also? These girls on the Bachelor are EIGHT SHADES OF CRAZY.
Sorry, Kris, I had to add a line after much fiddling…downloaded your page and tried it, so this SHOULD work:
.aligncenter,
div.aligncenter {
text-align:center;
display: block;
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
}
Nathan, you rock.
Also, Kris! Herroh, pea!
