I have no idea who she is and didn’t see one single episode of that show, but I am glad for her, and this next phase in her life. I think it’s always a beautiful moment when people get past someone who treated them like shit. =-) Even if it is a reality-TV slut.

I never watched Laguna Beach long enough to learn who the so-called characters were, but I must admit it’s good to hear that Jessica is not trying to pursue, say, a music career or posing for Playboy. That seems to be a theme on The Hills.

It’s a rare reality TV moment that causes one to reflect on the subjects as anything other than Lucky-jean wearing penthouse-dwelling trust-fund automata. I’m impressed that you found such a moment; I wouldn’t have the patience for it and confess that your cultural horizons are broader (certainly more egalitarian) than my own.

All that said, I hope it’s love. There’s nothing more splendid, in reality, than loving and being loved properly back.
