Dear everyone,
Right now it’s 12:30 am here, that is in my floating dorm room, and in my head it’s only rush hour. I get jet lag like kindergarten teachers get pinkeye, on the wind. Sleepy does not even begin to describe it, but I’m ridiculously, lusciously content. I love travel almost as much as everything bagels and almond hand soap and my cats. It’s that good.
The first few days have involved an unexpected trip to Munich, luggage that arrived days before I did, and lots of discussion with Europeans about the Presidential election. The jaw-dropping Grand Canal on Saturday and spreading my father’s ashes just hours ago at the Parthenon. And last night some dress up and lots of champagne and a ship photographer who definitely thought my sister and I were lovers.
No, Olan Mills, I didn’t pose with my hand perched on her shoulder, but now I sort of wish I had.
Tomorrow: Mykonos.
Wishing you were here, as long as we didn’t have to share a tiny stateroom or adorable miniature toiletries,
Kris

Would love to know what those across the pond are saying about the election…
Sounds wonderful. Enjoy!
Yes, I sometimes wonder whether even people in America are quite as obsessed by the US elections as we are here in Europe.
And have you noticed how it seems all the news coverage is unashamedly pro-Obama. It’s like journalistic neutrality has gone out of the window.
I agree with the news outlets (I haven’t met one person here in the UK who is pro-Republican). But still.
i miss your blog posts, but i’m glad you’re having fun!!
Green with envy – not global warming.
Yay! You made it!
(now stop with the swing dancing, or you could hurt yourself!)
