What? Are you going to arrest me for sagging?

Is anyone else as uncomfortable as I am with the recent Basic Instinct 2 promos? Honestly. I feel like I’m being tied down and forced to watch my parents make out. In my mind, there are established ways for a woman – particularly a woman over the age of 16 – to be sexy. (See Mirriam-Webster definition for Susan Sarandon.) And I’m pretty sure it involves a modicum of class, rather than strattling a chair without your drawers on. Well, in public. Ech.

Amen, girl. I’m not sure why they felt that like 20 years later would be the perfect time to resurrect this film.

I was very impressed with the first one. Just the part where Sharon Stone flashed her hoo hah and they were able to say with a completely straight face that it just happened and didn’t require special lighting or a magical crotch-visioning enhancement camera.

    Yeah, that could happen.

i think that straddling a chair with no undies is very classy. in a slutty, skanky, i’m-a-hooker way.

The only thing good about that ad is Sharon Stone’s voice. She has a voice like heavenly maple syrup (to me).

As for what she actually says, the visuals, and everything else about the commercial?

    SKANKOLA!

I don’t even know why they are making this movie. Probably for the same reason they spoiled Color of Night with that really idiotic sex scene.

Hear hear. Plus? Sharon Stone she is the crazy. CA-RAZY. That aneurism she had a while back killed some vital cells up there, I’m certain of it…

Did they put a towel or anything on the chair? I mean it’s a public chair. Anyone could sit on it next. Try not to think of whose hoo-ha has been pressed against your chair next time you’re in public.

Seriously. I thought Sharon Stone was famous for more than exposing herself. She apparently didn’t think so.

Agree Kris. All the reviews here have been unkind, and this time I don’t blame them.

The first movie was one thing, and I hated that almost rape scene. But this is just stupid and unnecessary…

AH agreed and was just discussing this with a co-worker…She is a gorgeous older woman and feels the need to de-class herself (ok there is a question if the class every existed) to compete with the no class younguns? EW.

Oh, yes, quite disturbed. I kept waiting for the Saturday Night Live music to start up. It can’t be real, can it?

Yeah, I’m not down with the new Basic Instinct, either. I do, however, love the word “drawers” for underwear, so I’m glad you had an excuse to use it.

Seriously, when the trailer comes on tv, I change the channel. It just totally freaks me out. It seems so…desperate.

I want Michael Douglas to reprise his “head bob” dance from the original. It was very “Peanuts Gang” of him.

Well I just don’t get it. I thought broads with no skivvies on WAS classy! Now I’m hearing that’s just not so. Is it just young dames who can show their nefarious parts, or is it that you all don’t like crazy crotches; or is it bad actress vaginas we are against? What exactly is it we’re supposed to be opposed to here? I have no tv, so I haven’t seen the fuss.

Let’s just pray that there isn’t a ‘Basic Instinct 3′ in our future–I just had a frightening image of a movie poster featuring Sharon Stone straddling a walker…

I’ve always thought she is a beautiful woman but, honestly, besides the whole hoo-haa showing thing, what else has she done? I never saw the first BI so probably won’t see the second.

Considering the movie came in 10th– yes 10th on it’s opening weekend, I would say the majority of people agree with you Kris. It freaked me out, and her interviewing skills didn’t help her out much either.
